Dimitris & Petros Angelakopoulos 'Untitled' 220cm × 165cm Wood, tar, graphite, nails, black and white photographs 2024
The artwork consists of a large wooden surface that has been stained with tar and bears graphite markings and notes. A horizontal incision runs across the center of the composition. Six black-and-white photographs of sardines are attached to the surface, each carrying graphite annotations and interventions with tar. The composition was executed directly on the floor in a rapid and immediate manner.
